Moor Boxes

Box Valley: Winter

< Back to Individual Boxes

Box Valley: Winter is effectively a copy of the first Box File I made, Box Valley. However it is now winter!

Snow covers the ground, and Christmas is getting near.

The canal boats are now moored for winter, a commercial barge makes it's way down the cold canal. The sheep farmer has rented the field to a local stables and a couple of horses are out to graze through the snow. The pub has put it's Christmas lights out and a large tree.

The buildings, walls and canal towpath are all scratch built using Metcalfe card. The narrow boats are painted 3D models. The cars etc are from Oxford models.

This is usually run with a Terrier or diesel 04 Shunter loco pulling a couple of small wagons. Due to the tight curves and wheel alignment of the Terrier, the loco has to run backwards.
