Bramble Road
Part of 'The Pier Line'
< Back to 'The Pier Line'
The Pier Line was originally made as a three box set. We took
it to the Bournemouth 2026 Exhibition and I soon realised a
problem... The moment the tram left Parre it arrived on the
Pier, all too instant! Bramble Road was the solution, it made
the run that bit longer.
With less than two weeks to the next show, the box was
created just in time. I think some of the brambles were still
wet from the PVA used when we set it up for that next show!!
As such, it's a very simple scene. The tram of course runs at
the back at high level to match in with the boxes either side (Riverdell
and St Catherine's Pier). There is a retaining wall in front of
this, similar to Parre. The rest is block work of Metcalfe kits.
The two corner shops I already had from a previous layout, the
bus garage is half of the now deleted Metcalfe kit, and
garage/Service Station was one I'd wanted to build for some
time. It's a lovely kit to make.
A simple box, but it seems to have worked.
