In The Bleak Midwinter

'In The Bleak Midwinter' is a new addition to the Ivy Line,
completed in December 2024.
It was built initially as a Christmas diorama to sit in the
lounge, but as I developed it realised that it could be made in
such a way that it would extend the Ivy Line to a five box set.
The scene depicted is a very English little villages, with
cottages, a Christmas Market (and tree) and an old tudor style
public house (The Snowman's Retreat) and Post Office.
The railway line is at the back of the box, with a small
siding.
Snow has covered the ground. A car sits covered, whilst
people go about their business - A man is posting his Christmas
cards, another clears the snow from his path, whilst others
visit the market. The small siding has snow covered wagons
parked in it. There is a small lineside hut somewhat burried in
snow covered foliage.
All the buildings have lights fitted, along with the working
Christmas Tree.
